Adding buzz to Base1 with a bold visual identity

The National Youth Service (SNJ) offers a range of activities that enable children and young people to explore their creativity using innovative technologies. Whether they are interested in crafting, music, designing, programming or inventing, Base1 is the perfect place for budding young creatives. Here they can develop freely.

However, Base1's visual identity was outdated and no longer reflected its mission, the website also no longer met the current requirements on the web.

To solve these problems, the team commissioned the design and implementation of a new visual identity and website. Based on the idea of 'creation in process', I designed a dynamic logo based on four of my designs that would merge into a changing and vibrating logo - a logotype that is constantly in motion. The new visual identity primarily targets a young audience, with bright colors and strong contrasts defining Base1's image.

The website was restructured and underwent a complete wireframing process, with programming outsourced. The extensive rebranding effort also included the creation of posters, roll-ups, banners, stickers, social media ads, t-shirts and various trade fair signage.
